April 1 (Renewables Now) – Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) has received orders to deliver turbines for 331 MW of wind projects in the US, Australia and India.
The Danish wind turbine manufacturer will supply 15 of its V155-3.6 MW machines for a 54-MW project in Maharashtra, India. The turbines will be delivered to the customer, whose name was not disclosed, starting from the third quarter. The commissioning of the wind park is expected in the last quarter of 2022.
In Australia, Vestas will equip a 76-MW wind park with 18 of its V150-4.2 MW turbines. The machines will be delivered in the first quarter of 2023 and go online in the third quarter of the same year.
A 201-MW contract has been secured in the United States. A total of 33 V162-6.2 MW turbines and one V136-3.45 MW machine will power an unnamed wind project. Vestas will begin the delivery of the turbines in the last quarter of this year with commissioning set to take place in the last quarter of 2023. The order also includes a 15-year service agreement.
The three orders were unveiled a few days after the manufacturer bagged a contract to supply, supervise the installation of and commission 17 of its V126-3.45 MW machines for the 65-MW Les Moulins du Lohan wind project in Vietnam.
